VanCAF 2015 Volunteer T-shirt

The design for our 2015 volunteer-exclusive t-shirts has been finalized! This lovely shirt has been spun from the finest fibers and tinted with exotic tinctures meant to please and delight you. On top of that, the design was created by local artist Sam Logan, so it is rare, unique, and Vancouver-y, all in one go!

"But how may I, a mere mortal, acquire such a fine t-shirt?" you may be asking yourself. Why, you must but simply volunteer, my friend! VanCAF still has over 50 volunteer shifts still available, and we need your bodies in our warm, beautiful t-shirts.

Camosun Comic Arts Festival!

Posted: March 18th, 2015

There's nothing we love more than watching indie comics propogate amongst the unsuspecting masses.

Camosun College—in Victoria, BC—offers a Certificate in Comics and Graphic Novels, headed by Canadian Comics Hall-of-Famer Ken Steacy. For the past few years, they've held an annual one-day comics showcase that features the work of their students, as well as bringing in guest speakers from across Canada.

This year, they're looking to kick their operation up a notch with an Indiegogo campaign! Be sure to check it out, and help support indie comics in British Columbia!

The time has come to recruit our league of loyal, detail-oriented, and feisty volunteers! VanCAF needs you—that's right, you— to join our ranks!

Did you know that VanCAF is completely free? And that our tables cost merely a fraction of the cost of other comic exhibitions? We do all of this to ensure that VanCAF is a fun, stress-free show for everyone—attendees and exhibitors alike. Unfortunately, VanCAF can't be the success that it is without a team of wonderful volunteers to help us make sure everything runs smoothly.

VanCAF 2015 volunteers receive:

- A VanCAF volunteer t-shirt, featuring an exclusive design by Sam Logan;
- Two free refreshment vouchers to be exchanged for a snack or beverage (per day);
- Entry into our volunteer-exclusive prize raffles, featuring comics, toys, snacks, and more (one entry per shift--the more shifts you work, the more entries you get!);
- A private volunteer-only barbecue in the park in June!

E-mail Noémi, our volunteer coordinator, and sign up today!

And more ...
