Flights

The closest international airport to the VanCAF venue is Vancouver International Airport (YVR) which services most airlines. We recommend you look into cheap flights as soon as you can, through services like Hipmunk or Kayak.

Trains

Considering travel to Vancouver by train? VIA Rail offers cross-country train travel throughout Canada. Amtrak’s Cascades route travels the west coast from Oregon and Washington state up to Vancouver, and the Coast Starlight route travels from Los Angeles to Seattle.

Buses

If you’re looking for discount travel options to Vancouver, look into BoltBus and Greyhound, both travel from the U.S. to Canada, and within Canada.

Outside Canada

You will need a valid passport to travel to Canada. You may need Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) in order to travel across the Canadian border. If you are not a Canadian citizen or U.S. citizen, be sure to look into the entry requirements posted here. Please also check if your country of origin requires you to have a visa to enter Canada, that information can be found here.

Line, which connects to the cheaper airport hotels in 15 minutes. Transit rates from hotels at Bridgeport Station to the Roundhouse are $3.75 each way on weekends, or $9 for a transit day-pass, which can be used on buses as well as skytrains and is an invaluable tool if you plan on doing any exploring or socializing outside of the festival.
