Ilinca Barbacuta

Ilinca is a Vancouver writer and artist with a passion for monster ladies, folklore, found families, and things that go bump in the night. She’s also the co-creator and one of two lead editors of Jessamine Press, an independent press dedicated to publishing marginalized creators. She primarily writes speculative fiction and sad, magic millenials doing their best and is usually trying to juggle fifteen different projects at once. She’s funnier when she’s not trying to be and likes good stories, great people, better food, and getting her way.
